Temporary Encounters - Calcareo invites us to explore the collaboration between materials and technologies through an open and uncontrolled relationship, where the potential of the material is discovered in interaction with analog and digital tools. The works invite experimentation and reflection on programmed organicity and material transformation in symbiosis with technology. Programmed Organicity reveals material de(re)formation as a creative discovery, while Specimen #001 and Specimen #002 reinterpret materiality from a dialogic and open approach. This sensorial and conceptual exploration proposes new ways of understanding the relationship between matter, technology, and conscious creation.
Working in collaboration with materials and technologies begins with an uncontrolled vision of the materials. It is an open relationship, in which the potential of the material and its unique and contextual characteristics are explored. Furthermore, it works together with technology as a creative tool, opening up new imaginaries and achieving interwoven transformations.
Reflecting on working in collaboration with materials and technology also implies an openness to experimentation and the exploration of new creative possibilities. Rather than following pre-established patterns, it is about exploring the potential of the material and technology to create something that the material communicates and that we explore.
These works highlight precisely this collaboration and reflection. They seek to generate experiential sensations of the material’s essence through a series of objects manufactured with different analog and digital technologies in order to observe the material’s behavior and its fluid communication. “Programmed Organicity” demonstrates the programmed material de(re)formation and material discoveries in an act of symbiosis. “Specimen #001” and “Specimen #002” create a reinterpretation and creative collaboration using technologies in an open and dialogic manner. This production invites the viewer to reflect on how we can work collaboratively with materials and technologies to transform and reframe materiality in creative and conscious ways.
